Stephane has already made his mark this year with the Hotel Costes 6 compilation that proved to be a revelation and being the house DJ, for this jewel of the French nightlife scene, raised his profile enormously. His distinctive mixing style has given him the luxury of joining the A-list of international DJs that perform at the best clubs and hotels, and at private parties. This debut solo release contains the electro-pop influences and has some of his friends join him, such as REM’s Michael Stipe (fine collaboration of the track ‘Clumsy’), Juliette Benichou, Clementine, and the resurrection of the voice of the late French legend Yves Montand. This is a very good compilation, again demonstrating his style of ranging from lounge, house and downtempo music, although the Hotel Costes fans may already be familiar with some song selections.
