Trash Palace

Trash Palace is a club theme night that Dimitri Tikovi operates in nightclubs in Paris. It’s all about international clubbing and sleazy fashion and glamour – a ‘sex in the city’ feel. Tikovi is a guitarist in his new project Trash Palace, who are the resident band. The debut album features some notable guests, such as Placebo’s Brian Molko, Italian horror actress Asia Argento, and old Velvet Underground hand John Cale. As a live act, the band also comprises two female vocalists, keyboardist, bass and drummer. The title can conjure up meanings of sorts, particularly how the songs traverse styles as if experimenting in sexual positions. The debauchery is interpreted as a means of provocation. Just have a read of the lyrics on the CD sleeve notes. This is powerful guitar rock that has been augmented with danceable beats. The set is quite titillating and fun will be had with these twelve tracks – a cocktail for the future.
