Recently signed up to Dew Process label, this Brisbane band presents an impressive debut EP. It covers an indie punk style and they demonstrate plenty of oomph in a simple and effective way. The opening track is a good intro to their workings. “Keep It On” has that typically spirited punk-pop flavour that hits instantly. Cool trumpet interlude by bass player Eleanor Logan too. It is track 3 “Bible” that has been revved up by radio for expected airplay in Australia. “Mirrors” has that hardness and throaty vocals to show their true colours. It’s a fine track. Excellent start to hopefully many releases in the future. Watch out for them as one of the supports for the national tour by Powderfinger in November/December.
