The brilliance of Claude Challe comes to the fore again with a beautifully textured set of twenty-five tracks. We know him well for the successful Buddha Bar series of CDs. This compilation comes amidst the feeling of eastern beats and ambience. Challe is aware of taking us on this “flying carpet” journey through tretas by Nitin Sawhney (with Natacha Atlas), Onomatempo, Lili Boniche, and Hossam Ramzy, to name a few. The songs offer hope in a peaceful, tranquil world and you can just sit back and relax to take time out from a hectic lifestyle. Although it’s not as groundbreaking as Buddha Bar, this double album will still comfort the listener with some beautiful images.
