After The Fall

They’ve enjoyed a good year, scoring good support slots and making energetic rock music, that’s not too gatecrashing in style, but still vigorous and tempting to a young rock fan’s palette. Stomp through tracks like “Room For One More” and “Mirror Mirror” and you get an idea of After The Fall’s journey in this album. The only thing is that the consistency of musicianship and good songwriting has yet to be achieved. There is still some work to do and I’m sure the development will see greater proficiency in obtaining better songs but this is a good listen with adequate energy and layered with the off melody. Watch for the next instalment before we can gauge their true value.
