Amanaska

Amanaska is the name associated to Australian electronic artists Simon Lewis, and he has explored the rich diversity of the dance/world music genres to compile a stylish set of tracks. It’s Amanaska's second album, and one is enlightened by the emphasis on merging world beats with jazzy and chilled elements. Lewis utilises various singers, including the vocal talents of Australian singers, Lynelle Moran (from Velure), Janine Maunder (from Naked Raven), and Tania Doko (from Bachelor Girl) to create these traditional sounds into our urban culture. You will also hear Indian and Hurdish vocals streaming through the invigorating tones. The accompanying instruments include the delicious use of viola, cello, Hammond organ, and didgeridoo. It adds to a classy, sophisticated set of arrangements, filled with atmosphere.
