Imagine a part gorilla, part lion, part elephant, part grizzly bear picked you up, threw you around, swallowed you whole and then spat you back out again. Times that by ten and that’s how you’ll feel listening to Andy C’s new Nightlife compilation. You barely get a split second to blink. This is a gem for drum n bass fans who like their music hard and fast and there’s no doubt that Andy C mixes it up as seamlessly as the best in the business. If you’re more of a groover, I’d stay right away from this one or buy a pack of aspirin and a straight jacket with it. It’s a generous compilation with 28 tracks. The last track, Say Your Words, by Concord Dawn winds down the mix with a touch of soul from vocalist Hollie Smith - the smoothest track on the compilation. This is definitely a compilation of extremity, so for avid drum n bass fans, you’ll love it! For the laid back, it makes a great coaster.
