Anni moved to Melbourne to begin her quest for a singer-songwriter career, after having been on the rock circuit in Queensland. After some searching, she assembled a team to assist with the production and instrumentation and has released this six-track EP, to give listeners a taste of her talent. There is a warmth and gentle style surrounding the songs. The tracks showcase the fact that Anni has the delivery to make strides. I’d probably like to see more oomph and rhythm to the music, but, with what’s heard here, the emotion and conveying of thoughts is still strong enough to sustain the folk-laden style. We await the full album release to gauge the ideas that Anni will incorporate. Her songwriting will hold a strong key.
