:: Anti-Flag - For Blood And EmpireAnti-FlagThey are one of the first acts to be microscoped through SonyBMG’s new Red label. They make a pretty solid fist of it too, with a strong album of verve and anti-establishment lyrical content. Hailing from Pennsylvania, USA they are emerging strongly in their territory and look set to be at the forefront of political and social causes of filmmaker Michael Moore proportions. Some highlights of this album include “The Press Corpse”, “One Trillion Dollars”, and “War Sucks, Let’s Party”. You can certainly feel the type of sentiments offered just in the titles, but it’s worth listening to the method, catchy choruses and all, to gauge your own feeling. Anti-Flag will certainly be looking for a bigger push with its big label resources and whether or not they can filter their punk rock sound of passionate messages remains to be seen. | ![]() |
