It’s been a long time coming for Beanfield’s latest release. The reformation of the group means the two members, Michael Mettke and Jan Krause, have asserted their musical partnership and emerged with sampling of raw instruments and a general construction of delicate and detailed tracks. They are assisted by more than capable vocalists such as Bajka and Ernesto who complement the sounds adeptly. The intricate workings of soul/jazz elements make this CD one of the more fulfilling and organic releases heard all year.
