Ben has released some good material over the years. Now, he has compiled probably the strongest set of songs in his career to date. He has taken his craft further and the ups and downs of his public life have resulted in several moody arrangements, written and sung with intensity and passion. He has moved on from where he stood, musically, a couple of years ago. The upcoming single is a good indication of creating one of his catchiest ever songs, “Catch My Disease”. It sets the tone for some articulate and surprisingly upbeat tunes. The anthemic “We’re All In This Together” is another good example of looking beyond the reach. He calls upon people like Har Mar Superstar and Jason Falkner to inject some extra kick into the music. Ben has been fair to himself in the ideas and thought processes throughout the album and I believe there will be more public understanding of his sentiments. It’s a good listen and it deserves to be treated as a worthy musical progression. It could start to create extra breakthroughs for him.
