Beth Rowley has made great strides in the UK music scene. Born in Peru and raised in England, she creates a soaring vocal sound amid the gospel/roots elements of her songs. There is a soothing, melodic charm that marks her debut. Beth developed her style through many live performances, having been spotted at an “open mic” night in London several years ago. These songs give a personal and honest account of the things that mean much to Beth. A lovely voice in the old blues style, this album packs a good punch and is well recommended.
