BeXta ranks very highly amongst Australian DJs and her Mixology work has been at the forefront of a building reputation. However, this is something she has been really hanging her DJ hat on, her first solo produced album. It’s been a while in the making yet it proves to be something that she can be proud of. The album has pace and energy that appeals to the dance crowd, while cleverly compiling tracks that could possibly gain wider listening audiences. Those could come in the first few tracks, which are much slower than normal. The vocals of MC Shureshock are sure to please on “Let’s Go Tomorrow”. The catchy beats soon take over and this is more in line with BeXta’s capabilities. Listen out for “Alien”, a highlight. This is certainly a worthwhile effort by the popular DJ and I am sure that she can grow even further in her artistic endeavours.
