She has been one of the hardest working people in Australian music, having DJ'd her way into becoming Australia's No.1 female DJ and dance producer. BeXta hasn't looked back over the past fifteen years in forging a great career. She is a regular at clubs and parties all over Australia including performing at several Big Day Out tours. Her work ethic is to be admired and the Mixology series of releases that has really seen her status grow enormously over the years. In 2000, BeXta released the first Mixology compilation - a double DJ CD that is the most successful independent DJ compilation in the country. They have been released internationally also. This new release - number 10 in the series - shows the series getting stronger than ever. You would have been aware through previous reviews of BeXta's hard trance style that has engaged her fans and the passion for her own material, which is obvious for any artist. The live performances exemplify her standing with fantastic charisma in the showcasing of her herself and associated visuals. This tenth instalment is a triple CD featuring some of BeXta's favourite tunes over the course of the 10 Mixologies as well as a package of trance. The enduring thing about Mixology 10, and those before it, is the lasting impression of the anthemic sounds and how BeXta stamps her mark. It feels nostalgic and listeners will have fun.
