:: Bliss - No One Built This MomentBlissDespite already having three albums to their name by that time it took the ‘Sex And The City: The Movie’ Soundtrack to let the world notice Bliss. Tons of people were asking ‘what is that song?’ about Bliss’s ‘Kissing’ after seeing the film, and to ask the question that I now guess many others would ask… No it is not found on their new album ‘No One Built This Moment’, but this doesn’t make this album any less of a joy to listen to. For those who haven’t heard Bliss they sound like they lay somewhere in between VAST and Enigma with their chilled out world music sound. This, their fourth studio album, becomes a steady who’s who of music. Bliss once again team up with Zero 7 singer, Sophie Barker on great tracks such as ‘Calling’, ‘Overture’, ‘So Still’, ‘Stop Me’ and ‘The Hope’ and they manage to recapture the old magic this collaboration got way back in 2003 with ‘Quiet Letters’. People who have watched films such as ‘Schindler’s List’, ‘Munich’ and ‘The Passion Of The Christ’ will already heard the vocals of singer/songwriter Lisbeth Scott and she adds some haunting vocals to ‘Mihahetsek’ and ‘Bascarazad’, tracks that do you simply find yourself relaxing to the instant you hear them. But the biggest coup here for Bliss is that they managed to get legendary ‘80s performer Boy George to provide vocals on ‘American Heart’, a track so good it deserves radio play. You could listen to the song over and over all day and still not get tired of it. Carlos Santana is a fan and their music has even made it onto ‘C.S.I.’… isn’t it about time you discovered Bliss as well? You certainly won’t be disappointed. | ![]() |
