:: The Buffseeds - The Picture Show

The Buffseeds

For a first time listen to this band, this is a terrific album. They have a unique originality and seem to be very underrated in the UK, maybe because they’re different to the current crop of British band styles. This debut album shows good lyrical and vocal depth while spinning a spirited guitar sound. They are waiting to be heard at a higher level. Their leading tracks include “Casino”, an indie rock assault that has a beautiful melodic burst. The melodic vocal and guitar of “The Day She Fell To Earth” is hauntingly gorgeous. This song showcases the fine performance of lead singer Kieran Scragg. He is the big point of the band’s make-up with a distinctive voice. Another track “Sparkle Me” also is very engaging and an entertaining opening track. The upbeat and mellow variances of The Buffseeds indicate fine all-round versatility and there aren’t too many glitches found. Watch for three bonus tracks. All in all, the band produces an excellent fresh and emotive sound. This is a pleasurable forty minutes of music.
