Having had a sneak preview of the album, the band turns its attention away from their older raw, fiery sound, with more thoughtful, introspective songwriting patterns that is aiming to reach a bigger market. This song is indicative of this shift, with a melodic intensity springing forward. The vocals by Clint Boge take on a new meaning with a powerful projection of what he’s capable of, and it’s sure to be a strong point in future references. This single is noted for the inclusion of previously downloadable-only track ‘Phoenix’, from 2005. It won’t be on the album, which makes this single a good collectors’ item.
