:: Celleste - Ready To Fly

Celleste

This is the debut album for the French-Canadian native. Celleste has already shown herself to be entrepreneurial in establishing her own record label Mighty Music, in conjunction with her producer Eric Dick. With this album, however, she makes a great musical impression with her passionate and strong vocals. Perhaps it is strength in being in control that allows Celleste the determination of writing inspired lyrics. I listened to the tracks and thought the album got better as it progressed, which doesn't always occur. The bonus for Celleste is how multi-talented she is. With her beautiful looks, she has talent in modelling, dancing and acting; therefore her all-round talent sets her up well in whatever craft. The music is mostly commercial pop and you may see similarities with Anastacia and Taylor Dayne and even Australia's own Gabriella Cilmi in the breadth of Celleste's vocal power. The songs are personal and reveal her versatility in various styles of modern pop-rock - to draw out a poignant ballad or push barriers with a surge of edgy rock blues. “Real Love” is the feature single at the moment and is worthily so as a catchy pop tune. Celleste is sure to make her own musical statement with her singing and songwriting abilities and this is a terrific debut effort. You can check it out here
