Cindy Ryan and Matt Roberts should get together. Never have I heard two such infuriating vocalists in such a short period of time. Appropriate perhaps for a funeral parlour only, Cindy’s ballads move at the pace of snails on sedatives. I think someone’s been smoking too much gunja. More lyrical genius occurs here, “I will watch as you disappear/On your way out of here”. Profound. No, perhaps I’m being overly harsh, the CD could be used as a sleep-inducer of sorts at the very least. But try it on yourself first before exposing your partner to it, or you could wind up having a lonely night. And a small word of advice to Cindy - hire a new photographer and/or make-up artist. The image of your shiny face and tattooed hands (the words ‘love’ and ‘hate’ are engraved on her knuckles) makes for a very scary cover shot.
