It’s hard not to notice Claire’s attractive and unique look; green hair and all. It gives her a particular charm and appeal. Certainly this CD stands out in glowing green and part of the good packaging required on CDs. But there is more to Claire than looks alone. The debut album by the Queensland artist contains an abundance of pop hooks and strength in the lyrical content. She sings melodically and each song portrays her personal experiences and feelings at different stages in her life so far. There is no-nonsense in her style and sense of occasion, living life to the full and seemingly able to connect to the people. It’s worth noting that Claire has had the rare privilege of having this release produced by the internationally acclaimed Murlyn Music, who have been responsible for many hits such as Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears, amongst others. She has just been to Japan for a special showcase and it’s not hard to realise the international interest. There's diversity among her tracks that show she can easily swing amongst various styles. She looks set to get better and better with more creative material and it’s reassuring to know that pure musical talent exists amongst our music scene. We look forward to big success for Claire Trentain.
