There’s a strong likeness between Cross Bred Mongrels’ and Hilltop Hoods’ work, with a bit of the Cat Empire thrown in for good measure. I must confess an aversion to hip-hop in general, and Australian hip-hop in particular, so this release was never going to blow me away, but it’s largely innocuous stuff. I have to wonder though, what would De La Soul and Ice Cube think of these guys and their yobbo-accented rap? One thing’s for sure, no one can say Farrrrrrrrrrkk off like an Aussie!
