Following its previous good efforts, Cut Copy has emerged in a very mature manner, crating a different set of images through some pulsating sounds. Whereas their previous releases lacked a general consistency, this is where experience has drawn them into a worthy record with enough hooks to maintain interest. With not too many straight up and down tracks, they invite interest most of the way with interesting 80s influences evident. The single “Future”, with very good vocals and drums, is a good reflection of the talent that is appearing. There is still a deal of scope to Cut Copy that hopefully will rear its head in future recordings, but they are on an interesting musical course.
