:: Dangerdoom - The Mouse And The Mask

Dangerdoom

Two of this generation‘s most respected Hip Hop acts, Danger Mouse and MF Doom, have come together as “DangerDoom” to record 'The Mouse And The Mask’ an eclectic, upbeat, catchy album. Full of cool beats, solid rhymes and entertaining tunes, this is the kind of release bound to crossover from street, club and radio keeping everyone happy in the process. They take chunks of popular culture, give them a new spin and turn them into some excellent pieces of modern art. Current single ‘Benzie Box’ is some cool, lo-fi type rap and reminds me of almost any Gorillaz tune. Calling on some talented scenesters such as Talib Kweli and Ghostface Killah (Wu-Tang Clan), has also added to this album's appeal. Like a concept album of sorts, it represents the many lives people lead and how they choose to present themselves behind “masks.” Hunt this down if you go mad for Hip Hop or even if you don't, as it hits the mark again and again.
