The Datsuns

The Datsuns are a New Zealand hard rock band that have given been on the scene for only a few years, and now have two albums under their belt. This latest one, Outta Sigh/Outta Mind, is a big cocktail of all things rock. From simple tunes like ‘Messin’ Around“ to more frantic energy of "You Can‘t Find Me’, the album never reaches any extreme musical horizons, but gives you enough variety and some great tracks. The album was made with Led Zeppelin bass player John Paul Jones as producer. Rock lovers and Datsuns fans will not be disappointed. Definite stand out tunes include "Blacken my Thumb” which sounds very packaged-produced as it was released as a single, also “Hong Kong Fury” is memorable - though maybe it just has a great title. The album as a whole is riff-full of rock, and I found myself listening to it more times than I had expected to.
