Dire Straits & Mark Knopfler

Dire Straits was the face of rock music in the late 1970s to mid-1980s. Mark Knopfler was the front man, with his epic guitar work and catchy lyrics. Their ‘Brothers In Arms’ album was among the all-time successful selling albums and had the band at the top of the tree in 1985. This special compilation contains twenty-two songs that highlights the band, plus Knopfler‘s solo career - from tracks like 'Sultans Of Swing’, ‘Money For Nothing’, through to ‘Going Home’ (from the film ‘Local Hero’). There is even a new bonus track, ‘All The Roadrunning’, a duet between Knopfler and Emmylou Harris. This is a preview of their new album. Overall, this is a worthy reminder of how good Dire Straits was and how accomplished Mark Knopfler has been as a singer/guitarist.
