If you like the laid back, easy listening, country rock kind of vibe then this might just be your ticket to a winner. If you’re like me and you don’t, then the second album from Down Hills Home is nothing to write home about, with one song blending into each other until I start googling my own name to see if anyone thinks I’m worth writing about. ‘Wandering eyes’ has stronger vocals and a punchier feel than anything else on offer, peppered with passion and emotion. The band seems to have all the elements for success; people playing instruments, other people singing, a guest female vocalist or two. There is however no spark, no oomph, which is a shame.
