Even if you have not heard of Australian band Ellington, this bite-sized preview will be a perfect start. The boys, who all still keep day jobs, say this isn’t a love song album but, “we write songs about life.” It certainly shows here. The EP is upbeat, a testament to their devotion to their music. The songs are all catchy and danceable; stand outs would be the ironically called Love and Between Faith And The City Lights. Both are lyrically clever and musically amazing. And you can’t go past the name of the EP: “More Like A Movie, Less Like Real Life”. Haven’t we all wanted our lives like that at some point? Highly recommended.
