This One World Music release has plenty of the laidback bliss that you would associate with those wonderful European chilled releases. It’s a very relaxed feel from an array of international artists, and sets a mood that is pleasant and not over-bearing. Some of the tracks to watch for are Hibiki Connection and the opener ‘Cha-ka-too (Sunset Mix)’, which is gentle and idyllic, bound by a gorgeous chorus. Listen to the jazz-based rhythms of ‘Western View’ by Sun, and a gloriously chilled contribution from Honeyroot, titled ‘Starshine’. Plenty of other worthy tracks ensure a collection of grooves to lift the spirits for those in the right mood at the right time. Well chosen and a good listen in keeping with the other excellent offerings in the genre.
