:: Embrace - Out Of Nothing

Embrace

I was a big fan of Embrace when I travelled through the UK nine years ago and like most things, when you move (especially from country to country) you tend to forget stuff as you discover new and interesting places. Embrace were one such act. While I have barely given them much thought, I was pleasantly surprised to see they are still around and still producing quality. For me, they were one of the unsung heroes during the days of Oasis, Blur and The Verve‘s dominance. With 'Out Of Nothing’ there‘s no mistaking Danny McNamara's vocal style or the Embrace sound. It's impressive, grand and melodic and works a treat in the BIG stadium-sized venues. For proof, have a listen to 'Someday’ which wouldn‘t sound out of place at a Live8 concert. Despite the fact my musical tastes have changed over those nine years, every now and again you find yourself reflecting on the past and as you remember people, places, music… a warm smile forms across your face as the memories come flooding back. 'Out Of Nothing’ was like catching up with an old friend.
