Grab three charismatic Australian hip-hop stars and throw them together to get some of the finest beats and rhythms that are infectious and energy-packed. The three players in question are Maya Jupiter, MC Trey and DJ Nick Toth. Individually they have worked to develop and cultivate their own identities, songwriting, performing & recording for about 10 years each. They actually did some work together a few years ago, facilitating hip-hop music workshops for Sydney youth, which led to stage collaborations around Australia, the UK & Japan. Thus, it has now extended into the project Foreign Heights. With all this experience, they have worked cohesively to produce this debut album of innovative rhymes and beats. They started work on this about three years ago, enlisting the assistance of DJ/Producer Nick Toth to help them with the musical side of things. Once started, the ideas kept flowing and a proposed EP soon became an album. They also approached producers, P-Money, Kut Masta Kurt, JP and Revelino who provided beats for the rest of the album. Vocal features include Eternia, Mystro, and Macromantics. It’s a very enthusiastic and devilish set of tracks and one sure to light up the clubs when the trio make their live appearances. Well worth a listen.
