This is from Dutch lounge act Alex Cortiz and the understated lounge sounds contain jazz tastes (eg “Catwalk” and “Afterworld”). There are no real standouts because there is an even spread of quality tracks in a restrained atmosphere. There are admirable grooves and the closing dub track “Supreme State Of Mind” gives this ambitious effort a worthy tick. Amongst the plethora of down tempo albums around, this one is a classy release and well recommended.
