Aneiki

This is an enterprising offering from yet another new talent that has surfaced in Australia this year. Aneiki is a Brisbane-based act comprising Jennifer Waite and Grant Wallis. Jennifer is a person who comes with the guidance of Savage Garden’s Daniel Jones as co-songwriter. Daniel has been keen to work with her for some time and now, with Savage Garden having an extended break, was a good time to think of a side project. Together with producer/DJ Grant Wallis, Aneiki has been formed. This first single shows Jennifer’s fine vocals in a well-produced and classy melody. Grant’s DJ tendencies are edgy and interesting (check the B-side remixes) and this is the first instalment of what looks set to be a winning combination.
