:: Libraries Are FunArtificialArtificial is Nicole Skeltys, co-director of electronic group B(if)tek. This is her second solo album, following up her first from 1998. Libraries Are Fun starts off with some odd 70s style beats and leads on to more strange and fast beats. The sound evolves gradually working its way to a trance style crescendo. There are a few samples and electronic voices popping up all over the place contributing to the album’s oddness but greatness. Highlights include “That Tingling Feeling” and “Cocky Wobbly”. Nicole is currently writing a piece for Melbourne’s “Next Wave” festival happening in May and co-producing the second annual B(if)tek WINK awards for subversive electronic artists in May also. |
