 This indie band’s 2002 debut release, ‘Athlete EP’, earned a ‘Jo Whiley Record of The Week’.
 The band’s follow-up single ‘You Got the Style’ reached into the UK Top 40.
 The boys’ debut album ‘Vehicles and Animals’ reached the UK Top 20.
 Twelve months of touring have seen the boys who originate from the musical hubbub of South East London, sell out their shows, and open for acts as diverse as ‘The Polyphonic Spree’, ‘Mansun’, ‘Minuteman’, ‘Simian’ and ‘Electric Soft Parade’.
El Salvador appears to be no different to these accolades. The single incorporates a delightful combination of modern dub and synth elements with a touch of sixties and/or seventies folk whimsy. You will instantly find yourself reaching for that replay button on your stereo. El Salvador really places this four-piece talent in line for greater musical stardom.
