:: Beautiful CreaturesBeautiful CreaturesThis brings a good feeling. It’s plain old metal the way it sounded about ten years ago. There is lots of energy, loud guitars and plenty of anthemic sounds – a good reminder for the traditional rock enthusiasts of the 1970s. There is a smattering of influences since, which they encompass. This band doesn’t hide the fact that they’ve been through that learning process of what’s gone on before. The good thing is that Beautiful Creatures has produced a real kick-arse record with strong, feisty vocals and the menacingly dirty guitars. Some highlights are “Time And Time Again” – remind of Tesla in doing a power ballad. There are thumping sounds on “Wasted” and “Kick Cut”. The certain flashes of brilliance make this an attractive album and one to duly recognise. I hope that this band can enjoy the fruits of their labour and continue this journey. This is just the start of what they can do. |
