:: Rockin' The Suburbs

Ben Folds

‘Rockin’ the Suburbs‘ is a classic Ben Folds piss-take and is the first single taken from his upcoming solo debut album. Inspired by the likes of Limp Bizkit and the new wave of white-boy metal bands, Ben Folds sings, “You just don't know what it's like, being male, middle-class and white”, and you just can't help but to get caught up in his kooky madness. He evens manages to casually name-drop Michael Jackson and Jon Bon Jovi. The single also features two quality b-sides. 'One Down’ is a stripped down acoustic ballad, while ‘The Secret Life of Morgan Davis’ is a raucous big-band affair reminiscent of the Ben Folds Five days.
