Bluebottle Kiss

A quick EP release from BBK documenting songs recorded while touring the US West Coast recently. The American influence is evident throughout these tunes. From the title track, a ‘spaghetti western’ track featuring a rollicking drums beat and jangly Spanish guitars. “Lover’s Tiff” continues this theme – though it is more of a straight-ahead rocker. “Everything Is Wearing Me Out” is a more mellow sounding number. This is what Pink Floyd would sound like if they were a country band! The final tracks were recorded live prior to the addition of a new bass player (original bassist Ben Fletcher has taken up the guitar). An energetic version of “Give Up The Ghost” recorded at the Newtown RSL, and “Ice on the Road” recorded for JJJ. This is a good release if you’re looking for something new.
