:: One Wild Night - Live 1985-2001Bon JoviBeing the first live album that Bon Jovi has officially released, the fifteen tracks selected would have been a difficult process. They draw off sixteen years of history in bringing some classic rock anthems and ballads together in this collection. Most songs are actually taken from their 2000 tour, plus a couple of songs, “Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night” and “Something For The Pain” from Melbourne in 1995. As seen when the band performed in Melbourne this year, Jon Bon Jovi and the guys still rock with great verve and pride. This CD is a good reminder of their talent, and the many songs, particularly of the 1980s, that still ignite enthusiasm and remind us of their place as one of the instigators and great exponents of stadium rock. Great live songs such as “Livin’ On A Prayer”, “Keep The Faith”, “Bad Medicine” and “Wanted Dead Or Alive” are fantastic live tracks. Throw in recent hit “In My Life” and a couple of rare cover songs, “I Don’t Like Mondays” (The Boomtown Rats song) and “Rockin’ In The Free World” (Neil Young song), and you have a great package of hits. Fans of Bon Jovi can’t be disappointed with this CD. |
