These two guys from Sydney, known as Boy 1 and Boy 2, wear hoods to block their identities. They have now invaded music listeners with their world, emphasising a newfound place in society for them, hence the album title.
They supported Kylie Minogue on her enormous Australian tour to good effect and have a very fresh, innovative sound. The songs demonstrate an easy-listening pop style with cool synth influences. Having already endeared themselves with “Drive”, a good laid-back creation, and the follow-up song “Divine” that should have easily been set upon by commercial radio for instant airplay with its glorious melody, Chakradiva is now poised for further notice. The next single is likely to be “Strong”, with its appealing melody. This is an excellent first-up effort from Boy and Boy 2. The CD emphasises a very poised, innovative set of songs that should set them up for future success.
