Che Fu

Auckland’s Che Fu was the front man for mid-90s funk band Supergroove. He has always charted a desire for achieving hip-hop excellence. He has been recognised as a talented songwriter and producer outside New Zealand. Here, he collaborates with other MCs to display a craft of smooth R&B harmonies and rhyming skills. We are sure to see his talent burst to the Australian scene before too long. Good points in this CD are “Misty Frequencies” – live jazz flavour, the flamenco guitar in “Random”, the political leanings described in “The Abyss”, and the reggae-flavoured “Top Floor”. This album will be thought of highly in Australia/New Zealand circles as a hip-hop talent ready to make a greater mark.
