A double CD from the accomplished Frenchman contains a disc of lush, relaxing sounds plus another of uptempo remixes from various artists. Claude has previously been involved in Buddha Bar and other compilations and is adept with the chillout style. The first CD starts with Je Nous Aime; whispering French vocals plus smooth piano and strings accompaniment. The relaxed vibe is typical of what is heard throughout the disc. The crisp beats are fresh and dreamy, and the flow is important to making the whole thing work cohesively. Claude provides interesting sound samples to the track transitions. Other tracks of note are “Carmenita Lounging, with its funky groove, and “Orgasmus”, with tribal sound and terrific vocals. Disc 2 is filled with remixes of each of the Disc 1 tracks. The pace moves up a notch through funky house sounds and they come up as refreshingly tasty. Overall, this is a worthy and unique package of mellow sounds and electronic grooves – perfect for relaxing with friends.
