Collective Soul

Collective Soul return to our collective consciousness with this single taken from their new album “Blender”. The single contains 2 versions of “Perfect Day”, a single edit and as it appears on the album. I found the edit version more to my taste; it’s got a raw edge to it. The album mix (track 2) is way overproduced. It also features Elton John sharing vocals and tinkling his ivories – which depending on your point of view could be bad or good! The final track, “Run” is taken from an earlier album (Dosage). It’s a pretty good track to end on, laid back, acoustic with some light strings – highlight of the single.
