Dan is a woman of substance. Having known her singing style for a long time, it gives great pleasure to see her find her feet and feel happy at this stage of her career. In fact, this is just the start of what should be a successful period. She oozes class and poise. This track is an indication of how versatile she is. It’s very smooth and rhythmic, with a retro influence. “What If” is a very natural B-Side for Dan as she delivers softly and effortlessly. There is also a remix of the title track where the saxophone gets more airy and the solid keyboards are well observed. Can’t wait until the album.
