Dannii Minogue

Dannii hits some good notes in this adventure of concentrating on dance tracks, to create her own identity. There are funky late 70s bass lines and 80s electro-pop elements. The songs are generally catchy even with the sensual lyrical content. “Creep” and the single “I Begin To Wonder” show out in being well-produced songs. In fact, part of the reason for the improvement has been Dannii’s input as co-writing and producing some of the songs. The whole exercise has been an eye-opener for her and it should engender new ideas for the future. The disc is enhanced with videos of three songs that add value for her fans. Her days of attracting new fans may be numbered though. You either like her now or you don’t (and probably never will like her musical forays). Give this one a chance.
