:: Bad Eggs â Music from the Motion PictureDave Graney and Clare MooreTo the non-Australian born, Australian films can be quite baffling. I don’t think that Bad Eggs is going to disappoint us on that front. But this isn’t a movie review. No, I’ll leave that to the experts. The soundtrack to this strange film is enticing though. An original score by David Graney and Clare Moore makes for good listening. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not that guy with the turtleneck you saw at Borders buying the soundtrack to Harry Potter saying something about his little kid; only he wasn’t married. The last film soundtrack I bought was ‘The Wall’ by Pink Floyd. But this is, in the best Australian way, an odd collection of tunes. Not often does the composer get pretty much free reign in a film, but here in Australia, anything goes. David and Clare have added a great depth to the film, and made something that will stand alone when the film is sitting in the ‘$2.40 for 2 weeks’ stand at the video rental store. |
