Def Leppard

The last time many of us thought about Def Leppard was when the Bloodhound Gang joyfully proclaimed; “the drummer from Def Leppard’s only got one arm!” Since then we have had a rock revolution led by the Vines et al., and many have forgotten what it meant to rock in the late 1980s. Def Leppard certainly hasn’t. This album demonstrates that either they haven’t really left the decade of their heyday, or their producers have a secret time machine that can transport the listener back. Sure, their sound has been updated with many modern blips and bleeps, but what we have here is essentially fist pumping, ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ soft metal. Bless them though, they have new glamorous haircuts. Guys, if you want to relieve some of your teen moments, step right up.
