:: The Fallout

Default

Giving out the soft style rock that band like Matchbox 20, Creed and the like have made so popular at the moment, it isn’t surprising to see Nickelback guitarist, vocalist and producer, Chad Kroeger applying his talents to this band. Default’s offering is nothing to be avoided, and it’s easy to see why their latest single, Wasting My Life, justifiably earns its share of radio play and chart success. Default became known after winning a local Canadian radio station competition in 2000 to appear on a compilation album. Apart from Wasting My Life, other highlights include By Your Side and Sick & Tired. Even though this Canadian band’s sound is rather formulae, and Dallas Smith’s vocals resemble an uncanny likeness to that of Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder, The Fallout is a well rounded piece of rock on the whole. It offers everything you’re looking for in an energetic fuelled, guitar powered rock album, offering a number of great tracks from start to finish.
