Remember the old hit song “Take On Me” by A-Ha? Well, it has been revisited, this time with a metal working over. This version had some airplay late last year, partly because of the “reverence” held for those 1980s Scandinavian pop stars. Emil Bulls is a new act to me and there is plenty of bite in their music. There are two bonus live tracks that give a better idea of their capability. It’s melodic, yet fiery-edged, music to check out.
