:: SeductionEndorphinEndorphin (Eric Chapus) is back with a new album. It’s his first independent release and perhaps this “freedom” has helped create possibly his best ever work. It’s interesting to see him team with Australian electronic music legend Iva Davies (ex-Icehouse) on the track “Free World”. It’s the first time that Iva has performed on somebody else’s major project and it’s terrific to hear his voice again. Endorphin finds his freedom of expression in other collaborators such as the Martinez Brothers, Sarah McGregor, Jacqui Hunt, and Jade Macrae. As he explores the political state of mind, the ambient sounds, shown up in “Sorrow” and the title track, that we’ve grown accustomed to, turn into more of a dance floor focus. The swirling synth sound is still identifiable and classy, but it doesn’t dominate. A very good album that is aptly titled. |
