Ignoring the boorish grammar of the title, this is classy R&B in 2002. Evans has got a fantastic voice and deliciously sexy phrasing, but she ain’t no lyricist. However, we all know it’s not about the words - it’s about the MTV clip, the Mercedes in the photo shoot and her leather goods at the Grammys. Fans get two radio mixes here. P. Diddy (the artist formerly known as crap, now a joke) ruins the first; the second contains a feisty rap by Evans herself that doesn’t really move me. Leave the rapping to Missy Elliot and just moan Faith. I enjoyed the radio mix with no rhyming. Killer voice. She might even win a Grammy. Make sure you’ve got the leather goods, Faith.
